Let’s Talk About Liza Soberano If She Take On The “Darna” Role Again

 Kapamilya star Hope Elizabeth Soberano also known us Liza Soberano is causing an uproar on social media as her name resurfaced after ABS-CBN’s ‘Darna’ was rumored to be pushing through.

The 22-year-old actress was given the titular role in May 2017 but she withdrew from the role in August 2018 when she fractured her right index finger while on the set of the now-defunct series Bagani. 

She has limitations with the movement of her finger as the bones were crushed due to the incident. At the time of her withdrawal, she mentioned that she couldn’t be confident in giving her all in the project as the role demands a lot of action and fight scenes as she would have hesitations with her movement.

The role was then given to newbie actress Jane de Leon in 2019 who had already started filming for the project at the time but the COVID-19 pandemic halted the production. Because of the quarantine restrictions and strict health protocols, ABS-CBN then decided to indefinitely postpone the project.

However, despite all the circumstances that delayed the movie, ABS-CBN has reportedly decided to push through with the Darna comeback but this time as a teleserye.

Even though Liza already withdrew from the project, netizens are still hoping for her return as they recall how she was when she was preparing for the project. A video of her practicing her fight scenes made the rounds online with fans saying that the actress was the ‘Darna’ that they never had.

Netizens also praised Liza for her commitment even during training practices. People mentioned that she showed great talent in showing her expressions through her eyes.
